Terms of Business for The Chelmsford Club (“The Club”)

1. Membership Fees:

1.1. Subscriptions shall be due and payable in advance on the first day of January in each year, payable within 30 days. Members joining during the year shall pay a subscription charged pro rata for the period of membership in that year.

1.2. The membership fee is non-refundable and non-transferable, regardless of the member's frequency of club usage.

2. Payment:

2.1. Payment for the annual membership fee must be made in a single instalment within 30 days of the start of the year.

2.2. Acceptable payment methods include credit/debit cards and bank transfers. We do not accept cash or cheque.

3. Membership Duration:

3.1. The membership year runs from 1st January to 31st December 3.2. Membership will be automatically renewed for another year unless the member notifies the club of their intention to terminate their membership at least 30 days before the membership year's end.

4. Termination of Membership:

4.1. Members may terminate their membership by providing written notice to The Club at least 30 days before the membership year's end. 4.2. No refund or partial refund of the annual membership fee will be provided for early termination.

5. Default and Delinquency:

5.1. Any member failing to pay their subscription one month after the same is due shall be written to by the Chair for payment, and if at the expiration of one month from such application the subscription of such member still remains unpaid the person shall thereupon cease to be a member of the Club and their name shall accordingly be erased from the list of members at the discretion of the Committee and their card deactivated.

6. Changes to Membership Fees:

6.1. The Club reserves the right to adjust the annual membership fee for future membership years.

6.2. The annual subscription shall be fixed by the Committee before the 30th of November in every year and in the event of any change in the amount of any or all of the above-mentioned subscriptions notice of such change shall be given to all members at least one month before the revised annual subscription shall fall due. Subscriptions shall be due and payable in advance on the first day of January in each year. Members joining during the year shall pay a subscription charged pro rata for the period of membership in that year.

7. Club Rules and Conduct:

7.1. All members are expected to adhere to the Rules and Regulations of The Club.

7.2. Failure to comply with club rules may result in the suspension or termination of membership without refund.

8. Membership Benefits:

8.1. Members are entitled to access the club's facilities and amenities during operational hours.

8.2. Additional benefits and perks may be offered to members at the discretion of The Club.

9. Amendments to Terms of Business:

9.1. The Club reserves the right to modify or amend these terms of business.

9.2. Any changes to the terms of business will be communicated to the members in writing.


By becoming a member of The Chelmsford Club, you agree to abide by these terms of business, any future amendments and the Rules and Regulations.
